Has a rejection letter or experience ever changed the course of your life, caused you to
commit a felony, or induced you to rapidly ingest a gallon of high-fat premium ice cream?
Tell, tell! Share your misery with other frustrated artists and writers.
It's safe and quiet here, and no one will judge you. Be as immature, self-centered,
narcissistic and off-the-wall as you like.
(But watch the language, please!)
Best of all, you could actually end up a winner. If your rejection
experience was humiliating, demeaning, infuriating, depressing or frustrating enough,
it just might be chosen as our Reject Of The Month sob story.
(Of course it's probably more likely that you'll be rejected AGAIN!)
Before making your submission, you must read and agree to the
Rules of the Road.
* A Sob Story is a short tale of artistic rejection, anywhere from one to
several paragraphs long. If you don't save your rejection letters, or if
people tend to reject you by phone or by slamming doors in your face, this
is the format for you!
** A "Rewards of Rejection" story is a sob story with a happy or or inspirational ending.
